This premium pigment delivers consistent coverage and superior lightfastness, making it ideal for layered techniques in studios across Provincetown and beyond, while its smooth texture ensures effortless blending on heated palettes.

Benefits: The rich, velvety black enhances contrast and depth in mixed‑media projects, and the wax formulation melts cleanly at low temperatures, allowing you to carve, embed, or fuse materials with precision. Perfect for murals, panels, portable easels, and fine‑art canvases, the paint maintains its color integrity whether displayed in a bright gallery in MA or a cozy home studio, providing reliable performance day after day.

• High‑Opacity Pigment: Mars Black offers deep, uniform coverage that reduces the need for multiple layers, speeding up workflow and delivering a solid foundation for chiaroscuro effects.
• Wax‑Based Encaustic Medium: Formulated to melt uniformly, this medium supports traditional encaustic tools, hot plates, and modern heat guns, giving artists full control over texture and translucency.
• Excellent Lightfastness: Engineered for archival quality, the color resists fading under museum lighting, ensuring that your artwork retains its dramatic impact for decades.
• Compact 40 ml Size: The convenient tube fits easily into any studio drawer or travel kit, making it ideal for on‑the‑go creativity and space‑conscious workspaces.
• Versatile Compatibility: Seamlessly blends with other R&F encaustic colors and compatible wax additives, allowing you to create custom palettes, glazes, and special effects without compromising stability.
